Bethesda Game Studios

Bethesda Game Studios, established in 2001, is an American video game developer based in Rockville, Maryland. As a division of ZeniMax Media, the studio has become synonymous with expansive, open-world role-playing games, most notably The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. Under the leadership of executive producer Todd Howard, Bethesda Game Studios has expanded its operations to include satellite studios in Montreal, Austin, and Dallas, collectively employing over 450 individuals as of November 2023. In March 2021, Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media, integrating Bethesda Game Studios into the Xbox Game Studios family. The studio’s commitment to delivering immersive gaming experiences is evident in its recent release of Starfield in September 2023, marking its first new intellectual property in over two decades. Bethesda Game Studios continues to be a pivotal player in the gaming industry, shaping the landscape of role-playing games with its innovative and expansive titles.
